Notes on information formats given with each image:

Latitude, Longitude and Altitude:
In most cases this information is derived from a Global Positioning System (GPS) and is presented within the accuracy limits of the device employed at the time. Latitude and Longitude are normally presented in degrees and minutes to 3 decimal places.
Where Latitude and Longitude have been derived from external sources (ie. contributors and from data bases), the format is more likely to be in degrees, minutes and seconds.
These, and the former, are regarded as accurate to within a few feet/metres unless the word "approx". appears next to the positional information. Most photographs taken prior to 2000 will have approximate positional data.

Image Format:
35mm - indicates that the original image is a 35mm (36 x 24mm transparency)
MF - indicates that the original is a medium format transparency measuring 6 x 4.5cm; 6 x 6cm or 6 x 7.5cm
LF - indicates that the original is a 10.2 x 12.7cm or larger transparency.

High resolution scans of almost any image may be obtained from regolith.com Ltd for one-time commercial use. Please enquire about costs and procedures.
