MOUNTAIN STREAM ON GLACIATED BED ROCK
BED ROCK is the solid rock beneath our feet. In this mountainous
region of Ireland, Europe, the SLATE bed rock has been smoothed
and scoured by former GLACIERS. The mountain stream flows over
the chaotic terrain in the process of draining RAINFALL to the
nearby ATLANTIC OCEAN, fulfilling one part of the HYDROLOGICAL
CYCLE.
