GRANITE DOMES & WATERFALL
Liberty Cap, magnificent dome of GRANITE, towers above Yosemite
National Park's Nevada Falls. The sheer faces of the granite dome
are produced by processes of WEATHERING and EROSION. The fall
of the Merced River is a striking relic of the relatively recent
times when GLACIERS filled the valleys of California's premier
National Park.
