BEACH BAR & CUPOLA
A narrow BAR of SAND and SHINGLE joins two small islands. This
feature, sometimes called a CUPOLA has been produced by the movement
of sand and shingle by WAVES and TIDAL CURRENTS. A whole range
of SAND BARS can be constructed along coastlines as SEDIMENTS
are re-distributed by processes like LONGSHORE DRIFT.
