COASTAL EROSION OF INCLINED STRATA
Light reflected off the shiny rocks highlight the steeply inclined layers of rock (STRATA) in the coastal area of South West Ireland, Europe. Constant EROSION by waves and CORROSION by salty sea spray, keeps the sea cliff steep and clean. Meanwhile rock debris is ground on the FORESHORE by the milling action of the sea. This is the contact between the earth's surface LITHOSPHERE and ocean HYDROSPHERE.
