SCRATHCED AND GROOVED ROCK
A GLACIER has moved from right to left over the is rock in former
times. Stones embedded in the base of the glacier have scratched
and grooved the rock beneath.. Finer rock particles in the glacier
bed have polished the rock. Imagine pushing a sharp rock across
a polished table! But don't ever think of trying it! See how tufts
of grass manage to grow in even the tiniest cracks in the rock..
