A RIVER IN A WET AREA
This mountain river drains excess water from the land. All around the land is SATURATED with RAIN WATER. Vegetation in many forms proliferates. There is an exceptionally rich BIOSPHERE adapted to wet conditions. In the distance the limiting effect of altitude on agriculture can be seen where fields of grass give way up-slope to rough grazing and much less nutritious vegetation. Contrast this scene with H1, that of the River in an arid area.

The river bed is strewn with larger rocks that are only moved during flood conditions.
